- Kid on vine twigs (Recipe for Kings)

Traditional Greek recipe for the celebrations of Orthodoxy in August 15, the day of the Assumption.

Ingredients:

• 5-6 kilos kid
• 2 glass ^eleon^ EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL   $
• 3-4 glass white wine
• 5-6 lemons, juiced
• Oregano
• Vine twigs

 

Preparation:

1. Arrange the vine twigs on a baking pan.
2. Place the lamb on top, apply the lamb with olive oil, pour the wine over it and roast at 180oC for 5-6h. 
3. Just before it is done, sprinkle with oregano and lemon juice.
